Daisy, Daisy

I just love this picture. I have another picture of this same flower, in B&W, on my wall in my dining area. Pretty little daisy. One of the only red ones that bloomed that year! :-)

Austin, TX

My hubby and I went to Austin in April of this year, shortly after we got settled into our house. We went for a car show then walked around downtown. Saw some homeless people, went into a place that sold drug paraphernalia (totally had NO CLUE what we were walking into!), and walked on the "river walk". This was one of the better experiences that day! LOL I have a few more that I will post in later days. :-)

My first ATWT!! My friend Jamie has joined in on this fun from The Mom Jen. And I have been trying to do a photo a day.... Which has turned into a photo every 2 or 3 days! LOL.

So, here are my photos of the day....

This was taken Christmas 08. Obviously, Brayden, my nephew, is a little confused on how his new Tractor works..... ;-) These days he has a John Deere Gator, and this tractor that he DOES know how to operate. Cutie Pie!

Leaving, on a jet plane.....

This was taken from an airplane. I was on my way from Austin, TX to Charlotte, NC. This was Oct, 2008. I had been visiting the Pearson's. It was a spur-of-the-moment trip out to TX. At the time, I didnt know we would be moving here!!! It was a nice trip, especially since Todd had not left for his Babylonian excursion. ;) I had a blast with the Pearson's that visit, and the one after that... and now usually once or twice a week!!!! Love you guys!!

I miss pine trees....

Yeah, its a pine cone. I miss pine trees. I am also SO ready for the weather to cool down. It is just HOT here. There's no way around it. I'm ready to sit out on our back patio and enjoy supper and a drink. I'm excited about going over to Charlie and Jamie's house and playing with the kiddos in the back yard, grilling out, having a beer, and the guys smoking a cigar. Charlie needs to hurry on home from his trip to ancient Babylon! I'm ready to use our fireplace!!! (which wont be until like january, but still) I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and just Autumn in general. :) SO, I give you, a pine cone for my picture today.

Old truck, old tractor

Another SC picture. I had been meaning to take a picture of this old truck for a while. Finally, one late September day, I drove to where it sits, parked on the side of the road/field, and snapped some photos. The tractor is pretty cool too. I wish I could've gotten closer, but the grass/hay was SO tall and there were fire ants EVERYWHERE! I wish I had taken a pic of the ant hills! LOL
